Terms and Conditions

By booking a tour with Lizzie’s Orkney Tours you are agreeing to my Terms and Conditions.

Vehicle occupancy

‘Set day and half day tours’ – vehicle occupancy minimum is two people per tour with maximum vehicle occupancy being eight people per tour.

Private tours can be for a minimum of one person and a maximum of eight people with prices being available on request.

Luggage is restricted to one small bag or rucksack per person.

Insurance advice

Lizzie’s Orkney Tours strongly recommend all guests to ensure they have comprehensive Travel Insurance for themselves and their group. Lizzie’s Orkney Tours will not be responsible for any losses, injuries or damage. Many of the sites you will visit are old and some are not maintained. You will enter all sites at your own risk. Lizzie’s Orkney Tours will not cover any liability arising from people entering sites and structures.

If it becomes necessary for Lizzie’s Orkney Tours to change tour plans or if there are unforeseen circumstances affecting the tour, then Lizzie’s Orkney Tours will offer an alternative tour or give a full refund of payments made to Lizzie’s Orkney Tours.

Adverse weather can affect ferry sailing and tours, when in Orkney an alternative tour will be offered or a full refund will be given. If adverse weather affects your arrival to Orkney and you cannot make your tour then you will need to discuss this with your travel insurance provider as Lizzie’s Orkney Tours will not be liable.

For passengers off cruise liners whose ship is unable to arrive in Orkney as planned, whether weather related or due to other unforeseen circumstances, should discuss this with your travel insurance provider as Lizzie’s Orkney Tours will not be liable.

Dietary Requirements

Please advise Lizzie’s Orkney Tours of any dietary requirements at the time of booking your tour.

Fitness

Depending on the tour there will possibly be walking across rough ground and you are advised to be sufficiently fit for this activity. Please ensure you wear suitable footwear and clothing.

All assistance dogs are welcome

Lizzie’s Orkney Tours Smoking Policy

For your information there is strictly a no smoking policy in or around the Lizzie’s Orkney Tours vehicle.

Right to Refuse Service

For any person who causes a nuisance, conducts themselves in an offensive or disorderly manner, or threatens, in any way, theirs or the safety of others, Lizzie’s Orkney Tours reserves the right to refuse service. In these circumstances Lizzie’s Orkney Tours will not be responsible for any injury or damage caused by you as a result of your behaviour. In the event that Lizzie’s Orkney Tours has to refuse the right of service all monies paid will be forfeit.

Tour Itinerary

We will always do our best to visit all the sites and attractions promised on your tour but we are not liable for unforeseen circumstances that limits access e.g. severe weather, site closure. Alternative itinerary will be offered.
